Huayápam Yù'ú Lodge

A beautiful relaxing place away from the chaos, the owners are really very kind

We loved our stay at Fernanda & Fernando’s lodge boho-chic style in the middle of flowers, greenery and eclectic decorations. We first stayed in a double room then moved for the last 2 nights to the room with king bed and kitchen, which is a worthwhile upgrade. The hosts and their staff work hard to keep this huge compound welcoming and clean, it seem to have further expansion plans. We could not use the beautiful pool as water was a bit cold (normal during this season) and did not eat at the restaurant as it closes at 5-5.30pm, too early for us after spending the day visiting the region. The village of Huayapam is an excellent surprise. Great location just 30min from Oaxaca center and easy starting point to visit Monte Alban, Mitla, Arrazola, Hierve el Agua and so many other fascinating places. Tiny but super cute with amazing restaurants, esp the family run Luz de la Luna (we live in Peru and the food and cocktails are at the level of some best Lima restaurants). Huayapam and its friendly inhabitants are worth being much better known and supported! Mil gracias y suerte!!!

Beautiful setting, very comfortable bed, lovely apartment. The hosts are extremely helpful. Fernanda even let me borrow her yoga mat while I was there! The Temazcal experience was lovely and highly enjoyable for those who can handle the heat!

It is a really magical spot with beautiful views and gardens, a spa for massages , lovely couple that owns it who speak english and answer all questions - and a nice restaurant - very clean, stylish and comfortable room - it's a great place to take a break -

Breakfast is not till 9 - it is open for lunch but for dinner you need to eat in the small town and the best place closes at 6 - after 6 not very many choices - (but there are a few ) without a car you are limited in terms of what to do - but you can taxi to local sights -

Homey and welcoming. Staff was more than ready to accommodate and fulfilled our goals of a tranquil vacation.

We didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant but the menu looked amazing! Next time will definitely try it out.
