Hotel Casona Origen Merida

The hotel is very nice. The room had a good a/c. The outdoor area is also nice to refresh in a pool in the afternoon. They also serve a nice small breakfast, but it also includes cooked eggs.

Our room was in the original part of the building, the front door of the room is not sealed properly so we had some ants from outdoors walking within the room. The hotel is also about 15-25min walk away from everything, this distance seemed a bit far on hot summer days, probably wouldn't bothered us if we would have visited then the weather is cooler.

Beautiful property with two (!) pools, in-room hammock, and super beautiful decor. Felt like an oasis in the middle of the city.

Wonderful sanctuary in the busy town of Merida. Close to the heart of restaurant and shopping venues. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Generous, well equipped rooms, fast WiFi.

It’s rare to come across a place that feels this special. Casona Origen isn’t just a place to stay - it’s an experience, one that lingers with you long after you leave. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The facilities were great and it was just as pictured. 10/10 would definitely go again.

It does take a while to get places on foot, but if you like walking, it's not too bad.
