We had 5 luxurious days at the El Encanto. We loved the entire staff, the lovely bar & restaurant attached to the property and the perfect location in the Art District within walking distance of the plaza. We love San Jose del Cabo!!

We were a little disappointed. Mostly the room smelt damp, and this irritated my lungs / asthma. Little things missing - no matches to light candles (not one at reception or bar after 10pm to ask for matches).... air conditioning made large grinding / banging noise throughout the night.. curtains didn't pull across railings.... no help with luggage on arrival.... which we needed.... All in all, disappointed with this room / stay. Location is best thing.

This was an amazing find in the perfect location. We were located within an easy walk around the art/history district and wonderful restaurants. We will definitely recommend to others and stay again ourselves.

Old world charm. Courteous efficient staff.

I was disappointed to learn that my room was not in the main hotel, but was down the street in a separate building. This seemed like a classic bait and switch. The room wasn’t bad, it was just not what I was expecting when I booked it.

Great place.peaceful.

The hotel is very unique and the garden area and pool area is beautiful. Located near the center of town is great. It allowed us easy access to shopping and dining. The room need some updating, the couch was tired and the bathroom was musty and old. A little tlc in these areas would make it great. The bed was very comfortable.
