Great hotel, excellent staff

Interesting history behind the building and room names. The rooms were modern and clean. The courtyard is open air, very unique. I would definitely want to stay here again.

Located in the Historic Center of Guadalajara. Within walking distance of museums, plazas and restaurants. The rooms are spacious. And comfortable. The matress and pillows were very comfortable.

The staff at the hotel was amazing! They were always kind and so helpful with our limited spanish communication skills. It was perfect for our needs and would love to go back soon.

The property was a convent until a few years ago and has been entirely renovated within limits set by the city. For example, there is no elevator because one would not fit the building's historic character. The exterior is modest, but the interior courtyard is beautiful, and there is a roof deck with views of the city. To the management, I'd suggest some tables and chairs up there because it is such a pleasant place to sit. The staff was friendly, helpful, available at all times, and spoke fluent English. There is a very nice restaurant on the grounds (El Particular) that is open 8-5 approximately. My room was spacious with a cool tile floor and A/C, functional but not opulent. It overlooked the street but was very quiet at night. Calle Belen is one-way with limited traffic, and it really empties after dark. The crowds and activity of the central plazas are a 10-minute walk. The immediate neighborhood feels a bit frayed with graffiti and a few deteriorating buildings. The sidewalks are rough. I walked every night until 9PM and never felt unsafe, but normal urban precautions are in order.

I loved the wonderful service, staff was very attentive I would have liked to see more plants in the patio and the rooftop had no seating to enjoy the view also all the trees and plants were dead is dad looking . But is just me I love plants and trees

My first time staying here because of the ratings and the stay did not disappoint. The room was large, clean, excellent lighting, and comfortable. The overall place was very nostalgic. It is in walking distance of downtown places that are a must see. You do have to pay extra for parking but that includes very safe enclosed parking. The area does seem sketchy but everything is so well lit.
