Sink stopper missing and no vacuuming had been done under and behind furniture in some time.

Walls were dirty, black mold in the bathroom which I didn’t notice until we had moved in with all of our stuff, etc. Loud roads noise. No smoke detector/ carbon monoxide detectors.

USUSThis is an old hotel. They redid the plumbing, the flooring and the paint. The furniture/countertops look like they're from the 1950's (dirt included). The flooring although new, was filthy. The new bedding was terribly stained on all four beds. My sisters had ants in their room. The bathroom fan sounded like a freight train. I could hear our neighbor's entire conversation. There was no additional security latch, just the door handle. We were completely uncomfortable sleeping in these rooms. I do not recommend it. The two stars are generous.

USUSComfortable beds and a clean room at a fair price. Conveniently located on Hwy 101 in South Brookings. Staff was welcoming and efficient with check in.
A little more soundproofing would be helpful, and a couple more towels would be nice (I’m sure they would provide if asked.) But overall, especially for the price point, this is a nice place to stop for the night.
