Hostel Tropico 20 PDC

The location was very nice and pleasant and the staff was sooooo friendly and nice.

I had my own food and their small refrigerator was not working (keeping things cold), but the freezer worked. No one seemed too concerned about getting it repaired when I was there. Also, the showers could really use a good scrubbing. I like the dividers between the beds. The location is great for the bus/collectivos and there are food places all around. Also...they advertise that the hostel is air conditioned, which was a big draw for me. They actually only run the A/C from 10pm-2am and again from 5-7am, I believe.

The problem is that I could not find the place it is behind bertween food store. Thereis no sign or they should put A big sign to say hostel Tropico .nobody knew the place it is a women who knows who indicates me .i

It was good hostel for one night. Really simple, beds had contact outlets and own lights. Good location. Quiet. The only bad thing is that there was no warm water in showers. The staff was really nice as well.

I stayed for 1 night. It is just good enough for heading to the airport. I liked the location being in centro, walkable and super secure with gate locked. However, there were things I struggled with, one big bathroom for both gender showers and toilets. NO hot water, luckily i was arriving with extreme heat outside, i could enjoy cold showers. Nowhere to hang or place any personal stuff, or store bags. (lockers are 12 x12 inch), no drinking water. sleep area is just very tight and small. bring good earplugs, the street traffic could be very loud at night. I would not stay more than 1 night
