Balboa Park Hotel

Check in link didn’t work. Room smelled atrocious, no bathroom was not made clear in reservation. Had to book different place it was so bad.

Horrible place. Not a hotel a scam. Bathroom not in the room. Overpriced for what they provide

I booked a Deluxe Queen room for my wife and after checking in, found out it had a bunk bed instead of the Queen. Made it work, but wasn’t as romantic of a night as it could have been. Also, the room was hot; I couldn’t sleep with my wife on the bottom bunk, so I slept on top (closer to the fan).

The hotel is very central, 5 minutes from the San Diego Airport, and walking distance to Little Italy and downtown. This property doesn’t offer parking; however, there is plenty of street parking and paid parking in the area. Our room was small, but very clean and updated. Small functional bathroom, kitchenette with fridge, microwave, and sink. The ceiling fan came very handy for our June stay. Overall, a very good experience for the price.

It was very comfortable and check in was very easy. The room itself was nice and cozy.

I didn’t realize you have to share a bathroom.

The listing is very deceiving compared to the actual stay. In the listing it states there is a bathroom but does not mention it is a shared bathroom, the room did not have its own bathroom. There was loud banging on the main entrance door from a homeless man when we arrived. The entire property smelled bad. No customer service available

It’s a nice cozy and convenient place to stay!

Honestly its a great place to stay if your looking for the basics as a solo traveler. Location is convenient, walls are thing bring ear plugs but overall decent 👌
