Very quiet and decorated well

Beautifully designed and decorated. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The pool was amazing.

The road traffic was a bit loud when sitting outside.

Our room was very comfortable, and the staff were all very polite and helpful to us. They even let us borrow wine glasses and a bottle opener for some wine we brought back with us. We didn't try the pool, but it looked inviting, and we appreciated that there were plenty of comfortable place to sit outside. While we spent less time at the hotel than we expected, it would have been a nice place to hang out. There are also tables at the back of the property where you can hang out later at night, which was both nice to have and meant we didn't have to deal with any loud partygoers, since anyone who wanted to make noise could simply hang out there. We thought it was a little odd that so much of the property is dedicated to tennis courts, but in general, the grounds are very pretty. While we didn't use it much, the wifi was reasonably fast and worked well in the entire property. We also appreciated the abundant hot water and efficient AC. Most of my experiences with hotels in the Valle de Guadalupe is that they are either incredibly basic or ridiculously expensive. This hotel offers a nice place in the middle where you don't have to pay $400/night but still get a comfortable, luxurious experience.

The breakfast was on the small side, and the menu had limited options, but the fact they offered it at all was a nice bonus. We didn't appreciate that on Sundays, they have music that was so loud, we could barely hear each other. Finally, when we came back the first night, we had to wait a while for the guard to let us in. However, this wasn't that big of a deal, since he was just doing his rounds, and I understand the hotel isn't big enough to employ two security people for the night shift. Still, maybe the hotel could give guests a remote to let themselves in. Otherwise, we don't really have any complaints.

I don’t review many stays but MYA is so nice, the owner is very hands on, it’s small enough that it’s perfectly managed, meticulously clean, and a hand picked staff of very nice people, it’s on the ocean side of the Valle so it’s around 15° collet than the other end. Will stay here again for sure.
