Lodge at Schroon Lake

Great place! Stayed in a chalet & it was perfect for us. Very comfortable, clean & has everything you need. Restaurant is good, activities abound & staff is very friendly & helpful. Came here after Lake George & found this more enjoyable & our speed. Love that you can walk downtown to get a meal or ice cream.

The lake area was not easily accessible. There were only four umbrellas and the whole experience was extremely unpleasant. In addition, there were hardly any shaded areas on the property. With temperatures above 90 degrees,there were very few guests enjoying outdoor activities.

It's a wonderful Lodge/hotel. Exceeded our expectations. It is situated in such a stunning area by lake. Outside the Lodge, lots of different outdoor activities, like golf, netball, chess , swimming by the lake or the pool! No extra pay like some places do. They also have a sitting area with the fire pit lit outside so guests can make marshmallows and relax. Some nights musicians play live music. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely. I have to mention, " Schroon Lodge famous cookies." I believe the staff are making them every afternoon for people who stay at the Lodge. They were amazing! So thoughtful.

Perhaps Booking.com could add a map of all the cabins and hotel layout of the rooms? Just like they have it on their Schroon Lodge website so people know exactly what they are booking. If you have never been there before, it's tricky to picture where the rooms you're booking are located or if they are facing the lake. If you care about the view of the lake or a balcony, it's certainly worth knowing you have booked the right room. Just a thought, not a criticism.

Went for a quick girls trip. The village of Schroon Lake is a close walk away. Property has gorgeous Adirondack charm. Great restaurant and bar!

our room was on the first floor and the floor was damp. the overhead bed lamp fell off the wall. The room was lie a dark damp cave. The grounds were beautiful but...... It may have been because we booked through expedia instead of directly?
