Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina by IHG

Hotel was excellent.. staff was outstanding..

This hotel unfortunately is lacking in every respect, from arrival to departure of the hotel our experience was terrible. When checking in Sandra who took our check in was very unfriendly, didn’t welcome us, just took our check in information and then proceeded to tell us that there was no restaurant service this evening because they were catering an outside event. We went to our room that I had reserved a King Bed, instead there were 2 queens, we went back to the front desk to get our room with a king that I had printed documentation for, and she was completely rude and told us, we should never book through a 3 rd a party only call the hotel. I booked through my Bank of America points and she said she didn’t care. An assistant manager was present and apologized and honored our reservation. Also bar service at there roof top bar was also not servicing anything but a charcuterie, no other food. The bar tender on this roof top bar when we walked in immediately shouted to us that there is no food and he is filling in for the regular bar tender, and wine choices are limited because were in the process of changing. The following morning we went for breakfast again terrible service, waited 1 hour for 2 breakfast sandwiches, finally told them we weren’t waiting any longer to cancel the order, they didn’t care, apologize or anything for the wait, the waitstaff avoided when trying to get there attention, we were told to have a nice day when we left the restaurant again with no apology As I said from beginning to end, this hotel has terrible management and obviously has not trained any staff. Don’t waste your money on a completely incompetent Hotel, IHG would be appalled to see how this hotel operates!

Sandy, at front desk was very rude at checkin, tried to put us in a lesser room than we had prepaid for, all on-site resturants were closed due to an event, event attendees clogged lobby and common areas, bar staff was rude, drinks were poor, waited an hour for 2 breakfast sandwiches and left. Terrible staff that are not trained. Suggest closing until you train your staff and get your act together!
