Hotel 8

Staff was awesome! Room was clean. The door has about a 2 inch gap at the bottom and the lock on our ground floor window was briken. The entire hall smelled off microwaved fish

We showed up the hotel with a SHREDDED uhaul tire. Completely blown. The manager came out and immediately jumped into action (after a 14 hour shift) to help us. She didnt even realize we had booked a room here. She just wanted to help. She was super friendly and helped us get all the information to get roadside assistance with uhaul to get our tire changed! I couldnt be more appreciative of her for being so amazing with that. As far as the rooms go, they were nice and clean and well taken care of. My ONLY issue was the window leading to the outside was broken and had a wooden pole to keep it from opening. Other than that, I was pleased with our stay there.

Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was just ok.No orange juice,

faucets seemed backwards to us.

Motel is dingy. First floor is actually below grade. Linens were cheap and well worn. Did not want to walk barefoot on the carpet.

The staff was fantastic. Very nice and accommodating.

The staff was welcoming. I could tell that there have been recent improvements, everything looked orderly and clean. The rooms are a basic, nice hotel experience. It was cool and comfortable with blankets available in the room, but not on the bed. I appreciated that. Three pillows per bed was perfect. No pool or other amenities, but I didn't need or want them. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and filling. The only concerning thing was the open drains in the sink and bathtub. I worried about dropping something into them and being unable to retrieve it. I had a very pleasant stay.

The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have the small refrigerator in the room. The only suggestions I would make is to have the TV tuned to the Guide, and make sure there are enough towels, 2 towels per person, in the bath room. The breakfast was excellent. With a full occupancy, there needed to be more than 1 choice of juice. Also, for Sunday morning, the cream cheese and yogurt were running low.

This is one of the nicest 2 star hotels we have ever stayed in. The desk staff were gracious, helpful, and welcoming. The room was excellent for the price with amenities: TV, microwave, fridge, helpful guide to local sites. Breakfast waffles were perfect. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip through Fergus Falls.
