The scenery was beautiful. Nice cabins. We had a great stay.

It is in a beautiful location. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The restaurant needs to be open every day due to the location being somewhat isolated.

Nice and clean cabins, lots of free on resort activities, and the location was off the beaten path but close enough to historic and national park areas. All the benefits without all the crowd.

Some amenities were unavailable due to construction. But it was clearly communicated beforehand so it wasn't a surprise

I've never been to summer camp but this 1.5 night stay convinced me to come back already my highschool best friend and I picked a spot in Shenandoah to get away on a whim doing zero research and we feel so lucky to have picked a normal cabin here. Due to the fact that we arrived right before a winter storm they upgraded us to a cabin with a fireplace 🔥 so that we could keep warm if we lost power so we got to make a fire for the first time in our lives. Core memories of watching YouTube videos wondering if we were doing it right. we loved walking around looking at the horses and other animals and we walked to both sides of the lake We didn't make it to the arcade but had we not skedaddled to beat the ice coming as part of the snow storm we would have loved it. The general store felt very camp and adequate considering the current state of all the empty shelves in the grocery stores. The best part of all are the arts and crafts. There's a schedule for each day of the week each hour starting from 11am going thru 4/5pm theres an art activity for extra charge. The guys running that literally have my dream job!! My friend and I made soap! And painted welcome mats and they had so many tools and supplies available for us to be creative and use. The food in the cafe was so good we accidentally missed breakfast so just had a rushed lunch before they closed because the chef was leaving in a hurry before the storm started. We also loved being able to text a front desk number to ask questions the entire time from check in till our hasty checkout. Beds were so comfy I slept with my mouth open the first night and for the nap I took before we decided to leave around 2am our second night.

If we would have gotten snowed in (which we heavily considered we both had brought our work laptops) the restaurant wouldn't have reopened till Tuesday but honestly we get it, we just noticed that the stove in our cabin was electric so we were not confident in our cooking over a fire skills but we saw a hook that a pot could have hung from There was only one light in one of the bedrooms

Grounds and facility were wonderful. They were clean and perfect for our stay

Food was okay.
