This is an amazing place to stay. Open your room door and there’s the ocean. Wonderful place to watch the sunset over the Pacific

Wow the view was amazing. The superior suite was Gorgeous. The only gripe I had was the curtains in the living room was one panel on each window. Our room was right next to the spa so we could only cover part of each window. So when folks walking to the spa gazed in the window as walking by. There also was no info for the fireplace and the tv remote. There is no one ever at the hotel so we had to wait for housekeeping to come on the next day to get into for all information that should have been in the rooms. Other than that this place is the nicest spot to stay and enjoy your time away. Can’t wait to go back very soon.

What I saw on the web page was exactly what it was in person, beautiful decor, with a clean well stocked coffee center, even a blanket for sitting by the fire and watching the breathtaking view from our balcony… thank you for the informative communications and your prompt response to unforeseen issues that arose… it was a wonderful, too short stay, we will return in our dreams!

Great accommodations, renovated and super clean!!! The staff (the person who assisted us entering our room and getting it ready came across a bit unfriendly, as she didn't want to be bothered. A smile and a warm welcome can got long ways after a long trip to your place.

Enjoyed sleeping to the sound of waves. Overhead fan didn’t work and no clothes hangers. But we enjoyed location.

Very nice property. Ocean front. Hot tub and fire pit on site. Room renovated and very comfy. 👍

Beautiful loxation

It was exactly as in the photos or even better. Absolutely beautiful, would love to stay there again!

Ten unit boutique property with all rooms literally just feet from the ocean. We watched whales spout and seals frolic while sipping wine on our patio. The room was well appointed and, although there is no onsite staff, the hotel was immediately responsive to questions via email. The 24 mile ride in and out of Shelter Cove from Hwy 101 is not for the faint of heart so plan on staying within Shelter Cove for the duration of your stay ( this is not a good base for exploring the redwoods). As for Shelter Cove, just a handful (like five) places to eat, some only open for brief windows of time or certain days so be prepared for that. Also, while the rest of California was under an extreme heat advisory the high in Shelter Cove was 62 during our July stay. It gets windy, damp and foggy even during the summer so be sure to pack warm clothes. This is not a lie on the beach and swim vacation destination, but if you enjoy watching big waves crash on the rocks and spotting sea mammals right outside your door this is a place you should check out.

Absolutely gorgeous and super comfy. The view was amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer. One of my highlights of our trip. Cafe next door was delicious and relaxed ambiance.
