Gorgeous location, clean beautifully decorated rooms, hospitable staff with lots of ideas of what to do in the area, walking trails all over the property. An amazing high end value for the price. I highly, highly recommend.

Fire pit freeSโ€™more fixings, free spring semester and coffee in lobby during mornings;snack and breakfast stuff available for purchase in lobby Quiet and very comfortable bed and room.

Restaurant wasnโ€™t open for other meals. Only dinner and wasnโ€™t open Sunday or Monday. Wish Iโ€™d known they have a sauna as well! Also, the room could do with another chair to sit in . Only 1 seat for / people in a king bed room.

"Quiet retreat in the woods "

8.0

The Lodge sits on beautiful property with several walking trails. All the front desk staff were solidly indifferent during all our interactions (housekeeping were very friendly). The beds are incredibly comfortable and the area is very quiet. The rooms are a bit over-engineered. Everything (coffee pot, tea kettle, etc) are just a bit more challenging to use than they need to be, hence the binder of instructions. And despite all the thought that went into the rooms, the toilet paper roll hangs over the toilet, making it difficult to use both (HA!).

beautiful setting. camp fire pit and smores kit are a plus though it felt a bit awkward with a big party already there with wine snacks kids and dog. rooms are on the small side where you are right on top of the furniture, so it's better to use the lounge chairs outside. very charming location otherwise.

Lovely lodge hotel in the middle of a historic nature park. We booked the suite which was perfect for the three of us. Lovely little details such as local coffee, overall great for the price. Be aware though there was no aircon so when we arrived the room was really hot. And although coffee and fruit are offered (free!) there is no breakfast although they have a small shop you can buy items from.

"Beautiful but a little noisy"

10.0

This is a beautiful part of Marin. Breathtaking views, somewhat remote. If you want maximum privacy and most of all a quiet night's sleep, ask for a room that doesn't have a window facing the fire pit!! Otherwise you are at the mercy of the revelers that gather outside your window and/or wake up early and have conversations in the courtyard. Sometimes the doors stick and you can hear them slamming in the rooms adjacent to yours. This and the noisy fire pit/courtyard was the only down-side to this place! The staff are incredibly friendly, and it has a very welcoming, cozy and positive vibe.

There was a $25 experience fee that neither the staff or the business openly share so that customers arenโ€™t surprised when they see it on their receipt. I didnโ€™t mind paying it although I donโ€™t feel like the lodge provided an experience worth $25 except maybe for the sauna - i just didnโ€™t understand why they feel itโ€™s a given. Now had they converted the abandoned building overgrown with dead & alive planted a few yards away past the lodge into some โ€œhaunted houseโ€ or โ€œhistoricalโ€ site type of attraction, like pruned the area and made the abandonment intentional then that would justify the โ€œexperienceโ€ fee, at least for me. If the abandoned building isnโ€™t technically part of the lodge then it should be fenced out of view or bordered out until it is made to look presentable.
