I loved the cabin decor! Beds were also very comfy!

This motel is THE worst I could have selected in Clarinda, IA. While the reviews seemed positive and the photos looked "charming", this motel is not worth any price unless you are broke and despite. Initially when I pulled into the parking lot, I thought I was in the wrong place. The building is seriously in need of not just paint, but extensive repairs. Once I got a look at the rooms, I immediately went to one of the other two motels in town. To add insult to injury, they double charged my credit card which I am still trying to get my money back.

We arrived and were greeted by the owners son who was a great greeter. He talked about the town and was very pleasant. We got a king-sized bed room and the decor was rustic and fun - the bear skin on the wall in the lobby we pretty neat. It is an older property, but we slept great and everything in the room worked.

It reminded me of nice lil cabin...cedarwood smell when air conditioner kicked on...cedarwood decor...chest of drawers...night stand...cedar storage chest... wooden rocking chair...very nice for the price.

The room was not maintained, floor tiles used as shower wall falling off, paint and plaster not maintained, toilet seat lid falling off. I do not recommend this hotel.

Needs a lot of work missing baseboards in the hallways, generally needs sprucing up all over. Bed was comfortable, wifi nèeds upgrading. Could have had a table for laptop. For the price you get what you pay for.

The room with a kitchen was nice for my extended stay

There was no breakfast offered. No wake up service. But he did offer to knock on my door, which he did. It was a little chilly in my room but couldn't find a thermostat but in all fairness I never inquired about it.
