Clean, comfortable, great location, friendly/helpful staff. Room and bathroom were very nice.

Staff not friendly and not welcoming They don't respond when you say good morning, they don't smile back when you smile at them. They don't ask how your stay was at the checkout. It was my first and last time staying at this hotel.

First, this hotel has an excellent location, easily the best feature of the hotel. It's easy walking distance to Broadway and also to the Bicentennial Capitol Mall area. I also thought the hotel is well decorated, I like the art exhibit on site, and the room was nice. I did find the hotel to be clean overall, although they never cleaned our room during a four-night stay. We visited the on-site restaurant daily for at least a drink since we had to redeem our food and beverage credit. The first night it was a bit full and they seemed understaffed; we were never able to get table service and had to stand at the bar for service. The other days it wasn't a problem. The negatives are mostly around price and overcharging. First, they have a mandatory $30 a day destination fee. Maybe other people realize this before booking, I didn't and it seems weird for a hotel that's not a resort or anything. Second, the parking is very expensive at $60 a day, but maybe that's too be expected downtown. The main problem was on my final bill they charged me two to three times for every fee, so my final bill was over double what it should have been. They also put a hold on my credit card for way over the final amount of my bill, it didn't cause me problems but could cause problems for some people. My husband and I just found the extreme overbilling shady, I don't know what would have happened if I didn't pay attention to it. To the credit of the hotel, they took off the extra charges and removed one night of the parking fee because of it.
