SpringHill Suites by Marriott Cincinnati Mason

Our family had a wonderful weekend getaway staying at SpringHill Suites in Mason, visiting family. The entire hotel was super clean. Very comfortable and quiet room. In town family came to hangout with us. We ordered dinner (delivered) and played games in the lobby. The swimming pool was perfect for our family, towels provided! Workout room had great equipment, provided towels, water and clean. Laundry room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast area had two attendants to keep items stocked and area clean. How many times can I say clean? This was the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at, and we travel a lot! Now for the staff. Beyond helpful! We had forgotten a few unusual items. Housekeeping went on a search to provide those items for us, free of charge! Front desk very friendly as well! When we come back in town, this is the only place we will stay!

We were meeting up with my daughter and grandkids for a belated Christmas celebration🎄. Called Marriott, spoke with Laurie at the front desk. Trip down had moments of white out/snowy conditions and we expected to be later than the 3 pm check-in. Laurie assured us we were all set, no matter what time we got in. Facility was clean, room was spacious and perfect for our group of six. We took the kids to IFly/wind tunnel experience just 15 mins away…What a memory! Grab pizza on the way back, finished the night in the heated pool🎉. My younger grandson turned 7 the next day. One of the ladies at the breakfast buffet heard us wishing him a happy birthday. I was surprised and pleased of the wishes and celebratory atmosphere the staff conveyed while we were there. Ginny stepped away for a moment and then presented a birthday bag w candy to my grandson. His smile couldn’t have been any wider. I can’t remember the last time we had such an enjoyable stay away from home. Connected in-person with Laurie at the front desk. She seemed knowledgeable of the local attractions, suggested some sites to consider the next time we are in the area. It wasn’t all business, in our short conversation, I saw Laurie as someone who was genuinely interested in us and desired to make our time at the Mason location special. Our stay exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend you and your family to enjoy all they have to offer.

Clean

When I walked in and saw the lobby, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a very pretty place. The front staff were nice. When I saw my room I was very happy. That’s where it ended. We are a family of six and I was expecting the pullout couch to sleep two children. But it was only a twin. The room heating unit was extremely loud. I would’ve liked a door separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom. The worst part was the morning breakfast. I travel extensively and don’t expect a lot from a hotel breakfast, but this one was a disaster. This poor lady was running her legs off, trying to bring out supplies and it was just mediocre. The bacon tasted weird, cold scrambled eggs but room temperature boiled eggs of course everyone loves the waffle maker but the batter ran out and she wouldn’t replace it. Me and several others just stood around for at least 12 minutes waiting for a plate or bowl. There never were any forksShe would just bring out a few at a time and they were sopping wet. Who wants to put a waffle on a wet plate. I was wondering if she was even washing them or just rinsing them off and bringing them out.It was the worst breakfast experience at a hotel I’ve ever had and I travel quite extensively. And the following day I woke up with a terrible case of stomach flu and I blame that breakfast. It was disastrous. I bet I have food poisoning with the stomach cramping nausea, and diarrhea,I’m experiencing today.

Room was clean and spacious enough for 6 of us. The bathoom set up is a little strange with the barndoor style and no lock. Bathoom faces the beds so light will shine in if you have to go in the middle of the night. Breakfast was decent. All of the staff was very friendly. Hotel was close to Kings Island which is why we were there.

We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were sizeable, well lighted with a spacious bathroom; staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very carb heavy; protein options would be beneficial.

Great stay, breakfast was good and nice clean modern hotel.

Nice clean hotel just off the freeway and close to Kings Island.
