Travelodge by Wyndham Atlanta, Illinois

Overall the hotel is great. My only complaint is the beds they are not comfortable. If you prefer a softer bed you will have a rather uncomfortable night sleep. I don't mind a firmer bed as long as it has some give to cradle your joints. There beds are like sleeping on a doctor's exam table. And I have stayed here more than once in more than one room so I have a feeling it applies to most if not all of them. That is my only complaint. The hotel is in a easy to find location. It has great rates. Smells good and is clean. Just wish they had better beds.

Close to gas stations and food

Even though I had paid for the room in full and also completed the pre check in online, in which I entered my card number again, the people at the desk were insisting that they needed my credit card to run on their personal iPad because, according to them, the card reader wasn’t working. I repeatedly told them to use the card on file in their system because I wasn’t comfortable giving my credit card to be entered on the iPad that the woman ran to get from her own hotel room. I finally threw my card down and said, “fine, charge it again because I just need to get my kids in a room, but I want a receipt! Suddenly, they didn’t want my card and said they wouldn’t charge it. I went to the car to get my kids and bags. When I returned, another man stood aggressively in the entry way and told me, in front of my kids, that they were calling the cops if I didn’t give them my card. He claimed I was luring about the Wyndham pre check-in and cheating them. They finally got the owner on the phone who confirmed I was correct about the pre check-in & should not be charged again. But afterwards, the man & woman from the desk continued to call me a lair and a thief and completely disrespected me. My kids were crying and I was shaken. There are no additional locks on the doors either, so the front desk could easily open the door with a key card. I felt very unsafe there, and I don’t trust them with my information, my family, or my car. This is NOT a Wyndham quality property at all!

Newly renovated property on Route 66. We loved that they kept a Route 66 decor theme. Great Value for the money

Great experience. I would definitely stay their again! Friendly service, very clean, and comfortable. Price was very affordable. I highly recommend staying here.

This was a great stay for us. The owner was super friendly and his staff is amazing. They really value customer service at this hotel and treat you like your family. Would stay here anytime I come this way!

Refrigerator & air conditioner were both very noisy. The continental breakfast was NOT in service. It appears that it is still being set-up.
