Clean, quiet, comfortable

This is a historic inn on USRte 66. It has been restored and is very clean and comfortable. In addition the small town of Atlanta has a historic museum and several small shops. Very quaint . If you are heading down 66 it’s a good place to stop. There is a nice diner there also

This place was the perfect one night stay for us on the way into Chicago. Price was great. It’s very, very clean, beds were comfortable, water pressure is awesome. There’s a tasty diner just down the street for breakfast. Only downside is it’s fairly close to what looks like a truck stop. Wasn’t a problem, but it can look a bit shady coming in.

Very clean and comfortable room. Wonderful shower with great pressure. Easy to find. Felt very safe place to be. Downside: no close dining opportunities, but recognizing that ahead of time we got takeout at a supermarket. Extraordinary nice room at this price point.

We have stayed at the Trail Inn 2x’s. It is a very unique concept. There is NO ONE and NO Front desk. Once the reservation is made on line, you are sent a code to enter when you go into the hotel and a lock box opens with your room key. Interesting. There is no breakfast (we don’t usually like the breakfasts furnished anyway) but there is a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave in the room. Our king room was VERY clean and comfortable. The motel is at the junction of Rte 66 and I55 so there is a little traffic noise but not enough to keep us awake. It is also pet friendly which was beneficial for us. AND the price was right—$76 plus tax. The tv viewing was limited but we were there to sleep and get back on the road. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

Hotel was clean and pleasant for our one night stay. The check in process was easy and staff were super responsive when I called the support phone line. Would stay again.

This was, hands-down, the WEIRDEST experience we've ever had with a hotel. We were obviously the ONLY ONES in the BUILDING. The only car in the parking lot, the only room occupied, no front desk, no concierge. You enter a number on a keypad, a number that they text you ahead of time, a little door opens, and there's your key. No contact with a human, if you don't want it. Our first room stunk to high heaven of stale cigarettes. I called the number they furnished, went through the keypad thing again, got a better room, thank you. On and off throughout our stay, lights went on and off in various places but there were no other people but us there. None. Very spooky. Pros of this hotel: it was SPOTLESS, it was quiet, and it was newer. Plenty of hot water. Cons of this hotel: it definitely gave off a REDRUM vibe (if you know, you know), the hot & cold faucets were switched, the bathroom had ZERO grab bars (scary unsafe), there is very little room to unpack a suitcase or brush your teeth, and only hooks are available to hang anything... which won't work at ALL for sweaters, or delicate things. Most concerning of all is the feeling of lack of safety. We were sure there were cameras all over the place in the (creepy) lobby but there is no other HUMAN to deter troublemakers. This is a nice hotel, far from the worst place we've ever stayed but it was a weird experience. If I were a single woman or a woman with small kids, I'm not sure I'd feel safe staying at this hotel.

Self check in experience went smoothly. Very clean room nothing fancy. Off the beaten path but great for truckers.
