The Cottages Hotel

Nice, clean, quiet property set off from the street. It is on a main busy street but didn’t feel like it. Outdoor seating area was lovely esp the fire pit at night. Especially appreciated the 24 hr front desk with water and coffee/tea. Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Overall very pleased with my stay.

Very very minor, but the bathroom needs hooks to hang towels.

It was an uncomfortable stay:Several things occurred. We made staff aware of the issues. Upon check out the manager said she was going to credit us the most expensive day$ 330+ for the inconvenience but we have not seen that on our account nor have had any communication.Its been 3 weeks since check out. -Night 1- no hot water for shower or cleanup, wasn't resolved till end of the day 2. -Day 2 went for walk after breakfast 1.5 hours come back a crane ( boom lift) and tree surgeon were cutting down the tree in our patio, the patio was not useable till end of the day, could not nap, chain saw and beeping back up truck howling into the patio off our bedroom. Saw dust and mess everywhere. No communication from the staff only a sorry we were not informed. -Day 3 we called before booking and were told the pool was heated.Another reason why we we booked so our grandchildren could take a quick swim. They jumped ( 5 and 7 years old) in and it was freezing very cold. Miss information! - We found and Killed 6 big spiders and the room had ants. We did not eat in the room. If there was accurate and prompt communication the stay would have been better. We like the place overall. For the price in a service industry we expected better than below average non functional amenities.

Location, breakfast, overall vibe, friendly staff. A peaceful, well-designed retreat in the heart of Menlo Park—these cottages strike a rare balance between privacy, comfort, and proximity to everything.

Rooms are small and relatively basic.

Le cadre, la chambre, l'accueil, l'emplacement, la salle de bain, le rapport qualité/prix. Le petit déjeuner était bien, l'hôtel swe donne de la peine pour changer les plats chaque jour, mais le choix reste très limité.

Tout était très bien.

Noise from the neighbour room through the connecting door. Bed very comfortable, but a bit short.
