Moxy Phoenix Downtown

This is a minimalist hotel. The rooms do not contain a desk, iron, ironing board, luggage rack, closet, or coffee machine. I learned after I left that irons are avaiable in a shared iron cabinet down the hall with table top ironing boards. But there are no tables to place it on. There was no soap at my sink, but I was told it was a housekeeping error. It is not a place for a business travelor who needs a place to work and to iron dress shirts and slacks. The HVAC vent is directly above the bed, so it blows directly on you when you sleep. No comforters are provided on the bed, just a top sheet and a thin woven blanket. This hotel is targeted for young counter cultural individuals. They have regular scheduled communal events but they are things like tattoo parlors and tarot card readers. Despite this merketing focus, the few guests I saw at the hotel were anything but young and counter culteral. There is a major disconnect here between management, marketing and guests and I suspect the hotel will suffer for it. Moxy is really more of a high end hostel where you get your own bathroom but everything else is communal. Very nicely designed. Clean and new. Beds were on the firm side and pillows on the thin side. I won't stay there again, but not because it's a bad hotel, but because I expect far more from what they charge and it is clear they are targeting a different guest and demographic by their offerings. Good for communal style. Bad for business travel.

Stayed here for a night. Came to Phoenix for Dbacks game. The hotel is very modern and hip. The atmosphere is very easy going. The room is really small but cute, homey, and clean. The size of the room was not discouraging. I read reviews on it prior and we knew it was small but decided to give it a try due to its proximity to the Chase Field Stadium. Given 2 chips at check-in for courtesy drinks. Valet parking was $45 a night. Definitely will book again.

From the noisy mechanical room(my fault) to the noisy a/c to the noisy street car and street noise, this room was just not good. It was tiny(my fault) , very little room for two people. I booked it for the Marriott name and its proximity to Chase Fiekd. Not again. Staff was awesome though.

Cute room with a cozy layout. Great decor; nice big bathroom. Check-in staff friendly. Free drink token. Fun downstairs lobby area.

The bedcover was too thin & we were cold overnight.

all gender bathrooms took some getting used to, especially with children. no closets or dresser, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase

Cute place in downtown phoenix. Staff is exceptional.
