The Flat Iron Hotel, a Member of Design Hotels

This was our 2nd stay this year at this property and we were just as impressed as the 1st time

The property was excellent - very retro and nicely done to preserve the history of the hotel. the staff was very welcoming from the valet to the front desk staff to the lady running the historic elevator. They even provided a welcome beverage as we checked in.

What a great time in Asheville. Ironworks is in a central location, very near self parking. It is a renovated old office building in a mid-century style. A perfect boutique hotel. Great sheets and mattresses insured a great night's sleep, so good that my husband called to inquire about the mattresses they use. The hottest restaurant in Asheville is in their lobby and an upscale speakeasy is in the basement. Very welcome to all the shops and restaurants in downtown. Highly recommend.

Was looking for a nice hotel in walking distance to the Harrah’s Convention Center to attend an event. It was a short, easy, and safe walk. And also surrounded by lots of places to eat and shop. The hotel itself just opened about a year ago after a unique restoration of an old historical office building shaped like a flat iron. The details were spectacular! Service was outstanding from the front door, to the roof top bar, the speakeasy downstairs and everyone we encountered. We really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing restored hotel that transports you back to the time of Art Deco! It’s centrally located making it easy to walk for dining, shopping and entertainment. Check-in was easy and the staff are so friendly! The beds are comfortable and I give the pillows a solid B! The rooms are nicely appointed with plenty of bedside outlets and USBs. There’s even a small ledge built-in on each bedside table to place your items that are charging. There are robes, slippers, a safe, a garment steamer, small closet (with the cutes wallpapered accent wall), cushioned bench, small chair, luggage rack, and writing desk. The bathroom was big with a street view window for loads of natural light. I love a window in the bathroom! The toiletries are nice and there were plenty of towels. There are drink stations in the middle of each floor with coffee, tea, water and ice. This was such a nice feature! The on-site restaurant looks incredible. We didn’t try it this time, but will for sure on our next visit. The street below is a bit noisy as in any downtown area, so be sure to take a sound machine or an app on your phone to muffle sounds while sleeping. Overall, we loved this place and will absolutely stay again!

Every aspect of this hotel was fantastic. The staff at the front desk were welcoming, kind, and warm. We got a complimentary glass of Prosecco upon arrival. The staff at the roof top bar were also very friendly and made awesome drinks. We had our yellow lab with us and you could tell this is a pet friendly hotel. All of the staff wanted to say hello to her. The room was very comfy and the location was great.

We were just passing through Asheville for the night and came across the Flat Iron. This is now one of my favorite hotels of all time. I can't say enough about the staff, the amazing food at the restaurant, the rooftop bar, and the design of the hotel: from lobby to rooms. I would travel the 800 miles back to Asheville for this hotel alone. Chris

Beautiful property. Awesome Italian fare (pizza was too notch) and a great speakeasy in the basement. Staff was attentive, friendly and valet was quick and courteous. The hotel is tastefully decorated and my room was large and comfy. Shower pressure is top notch. When we left there was a spread of coffee, tea and pastries in the lobby. Felt “homey” not corporate. We will be coming back!

I travel for work every month and have for years. The Flat Iron exceeded my expectations in every way. From the lovely gentleman who valeted our car to the precious front desk associate to our glasses of champagne upon arrival. The staff is top notch -- even the kind associate who called the day before to confirm our reservations was happy to give a quick history of this hotel on the cusp of its 100th anniversary. The room was spotless, they've thought of every detail from the beverage station at the entrance of each floor boasting sparkling water, coffee, teas, and even card decks for guests to borrow during their stay. Every touch was magical from the beautiful postcard they encouraged us to mail in the original golden mailbox to the comfy robes and house-shoes. Historical beauty with modern features. I'd put them up against the Drake, Peabody, the Brown and Seelbach and they'd come out ahead. Wish we were in town longer.
