The room was great! The breakfast offer was not the greatest. The offer in 2024 was better! We did have dinner at the restaurant the night before and we were not impressed. Steak was rubbery and the breaded fish was overcooked!

"Fun throwback to the old days of traveling the open road"

10.0

When traveling on I-80, it can be difficult to find accommodations that are well rated without paying an arm and a leg. We have high status at two of the big hotel chains and have never stayed at a Travelodge before, but this location seemed much different than what I’ve seen of the brand’s typical offerings so we decided to give it a shot. The property has a lot of charm with cute rustic decor and quirky features like the Bigfoot overlooking the highway and the disc golf course. The rooms have been renovated somewhat recently and there’s a bit of a boutique property feel in the decor. Some of the furniture is from a local maker, as noted in the room’s information book; I traveled with my mom and she was obsessed with the very sturdy nightstand. The bathroom was sufficient for what we needed and had good water pressure. One thing worth noting is our room was right by the highway and we were honestly surprised by how little noise we heard! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. On the day of our reservation, a transformer blew down the street and the property initially didn’t think they were going to be able to take guests that night due to a lack of power; however, the power came back around dinnertime and they were able to get our room cleaned and ready for our arrival within an hour! We received a voucher of $5 per adult for breakfast at Plaza, the restaurant in the truck stop right down the hill. The restaurant had a similar old-time charm and added to the overall experience; the food and service were good. If you’re in a rush, the motel lobby had some prepackaged muffins and donuts for guests. If I’m being honest, the Travelodge ended up being the favorite hotel of our trip. It is definitely not your average Travelodge (in a good way) and added some fun roadside charm to our travels. The property is a well maintained step back in time and we would recommend it without hesitation - my mom, who can be pretty picky with hotels, said a few times “they really thought of everything!”

The room was great and very clean, the staff were helpful and super nice. However we stayed 2 nights and they didn't do our room for the second day and we had to call in the staff to fix the TV 3 times

This is a motel that has been incorporated into the Travelodge franchise. It is located on a hill right on top of I-80. Noise from the highway wasn't too bad and the spot is quite nice for a quick overnight stay, with a deck for stargazing and picnic tables halfway down the hill. Breakfast is not included. Guests get a $5 voucher for breakfast at the truck stop diner down the hill.

The A/C system in our room was moldy (the smell was pretty bad) so we had to turn it off, which made the room uncomfortably humid. A regular old standing fan would have helped a lot. The mattress was way too soft for comfort as well.
