Sea Chest Motel

After coming for so many years it was sad to see the owner John was not there. Unfortunately without him. It’s not worth it to stay anymore. His wife is left to run the place and unfortunately is not capable and is has zero customer service ability. Save yourself the hassle and pick a different place!

Excellent! Very clean, both room and bathroom. Nice pool and pool area- very clean also. Very friendly Family that owns it, they go the extra mile for their customers. I was very happy with my 3 day stay

Family owned friendly motel, very clean , very nice to their customers went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Beautiful family that works together as a team. Would recommend it probably one of the last retro motels in Wildwood Crest.

I’ve been coming to this motel since I was about 5 years old and it never disappoints. The owners are very nice people. The rooms are always clean. It is located a block from the beach and has a great pool. Definitely would recommend this motel when visiting Wildwood Crest! We go every year and after every visit we can’t wait to go back!

We were a bit disappointed with Sea Chest Motel, after seeing all the great reviews on Trip Advisor. The positive -- The motel is very close to the wonderful beach. The motel has a nice pool and hose for washing-off sand from the beach. Be sure to ask for a free parking pass when making a reservation. The mini-kitchen includes a fridge, microwave and stove. The staff was very accomodating our needs. The negative -- The room was missing curtains on the back window, letting way too much light in to the room at nighttime -- making it very difficult to sleep. On the 2nd floor, the front porch configuration makes it necessary for you to walk through others' conversations (and smoke) as you navigate to and from your room. The bathroom, while functional, is very dated. The colors resemble a kitchen from the 1960s. All in all, the Sea Chest motel was okay for one night stay. I don't think I'd want to be there for an extended period.

I want to be totally honest. This Motel was the cleanest, most well maintained property I HAVE EVER STAYED AT... EVER! We were totally impressed with the care and sense of pride the owners showed in running this small 1950's era motel. I think we all make assumptions that older, smaller motels in resort towns can be run down, poorly maintained etc and I think we were expecting a little bit of this when we booked but we found quite the opposite. The owners obviously care about this place and its guests. The room was spotless, fresh smelling, no hairs in the bathroom. The mattresses were comfortable, the curb appeal and appearance was excellent...parking was plentiful and right at your room. I noticed even their flower beds that ring the property were gorgeous without a single weed to be found. Your room is just a couple minute walk to the beach and local restaurants, bike rentals etc. Each morning the owner could be seen hosing the walks and sweeping up sand etc. The pool was A1, swept, and water well treated. The Sea Chest Motel makes a great stay for families who want to vacation in a resort town and who either cannot pay for an expensive room or who DOES NOT WANT to pay for an expensive room.

This is a good place to stay in. Owners are nice, great to talk to and very accomodating! The place is very well kept among the other places we stayed in the shore. You can walk 2 blocks to be on the beach. - Mike from Mayfair

Felt very at home friendly owners who treated us like family. I would highly recommend this place for a great place to stay and enjoy your holidays. It’s set back from the boardwalk noise but close enough to enjoy its amenities

This motel is a real gem Clean as can be and the owners are so sweet ,so friendly Only a couple of blocks from the beach and after a hot day ,jump in a perfectly clean pool. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. Loved it!!

The motel bathroom were small but very clean and well kept. Just a 20 steps from the beach, bike rentals and Ice cream place. The owner and front desk were friendly. John suggested us to visit the wineries and the fish market. We had so much fun in Wildwood and Cape May area, also good experiencia staying at this family own motel. Thanks
