"We did not stay there. I canceled the reservation."

We did not stay there… the booking.com site said it was the Regal 8 but when we got there the sign had not been changed from the Motel 6. We had already been there to get a room but changed our minds when we smelled smoke and urine in the hallway. I then walked outside and went on booking.com to get a room and chose the Regal 8 which to my horror was the exact same place we had just walked out of. Not to have to pay for a place that is falsely advertised/named.

It smelled of urine and smoke. The desk person said that that was the smoking section and that the urine smell was from fertilizer that his wife put on the lawn. Why would it smell in the hallway when as I walked down the hallway I could see no smoking sign’s outside of the doors. What would fertilizer be doing in the hallway?
