The Skylight Hotel

Very nice lady working the desk shared the history... built around 1900 as a 'lodging house' for travelers coming in from a rail depot that was located just across the street. It was quiet, on-street parking was ok. Located on 2nd floor, no elevator.

Nice job re-doing the building to be a hotel. Towels were tiny. There was no coffee maker in the room.

I guess the water was hard or had lime because the towels although fresh, were stained. had a problem with condensation in the bathroom and our view was behind a big sign.

Loved the facility the area it is in not so much.

This was one of the best surprise hotels that we have ever visited. My family travels a lot for vacation. This was a stop over on our way to another location. However, it became one of the highlights of our trip. This renovated train depot hotel is over a 100 years old. It has kept the historical charm of the hotels but has added all of the comforts of a modern hotel. The bed was comfy, the a/c was cold, and the bathroom was perfect to keep with feel of historic and comfort. The staff was amazing! So helpful not just with our hotel but with finding us a local restaurant for dinner. She also walked me to our room to make sure that I was happy with it. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Greenville area.

The room was cozy and clean. The staff was very friendly. They have done a good job with this hotel!

This is a top notch property. The property is a small one so the owners have the ability to treat the facility and the guests with all of their attention and respect. While I was doing research about places to stay, I reached out to people I knew in the area. Two of my contacts told me they had done some remodeling work at the hotel and I'd truly be satisfied if I did choose this property. They were right! I loved staying here and after getting the grand tour of this 124 year old property from Calvin, the owner, I had even more respect for this historical place. The rooms were just right and very clean and I was always greeted and checked on to see if there was anything that I needed. I will always stay at this property when I'm home and they have rooms available. I think this place should be designated or registered as a Mississippi Historical Landmark.

A beautiful antique hotel that has been renovated to keep the original structure with the addition of up to date bathroom,shower,refrigerator,tv and coffee maker

Loved the room, they were so nice and very accommodating, they helped me with my luggage. Bed was comfortable, pillows were just right, everything was clean.

The Starlight Hotel is run be wonderful people who are so kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. The neighborhood is safe and central. Highly recommend!
