Southern Suites Columbus

There are so many mixed reviews about this property, but here’s my take on it. Please note, this property is an extended stay so there are residents that are here long-term. The location is good. Walking distance to Aldi, Publix, and other grocery stores and restaurants. The staff were really nice and helpful. The room pictures are accurate.

WiFi disconnects after a certain time period. The towels are really thin and leave a white film when drying off. There is no kitchenware as stated in the listing. You will need to provide your own utensils, napkins, dishes, etc. There was no telephone or hand soap in the room. People smoke outside on the balconies and in their car so the smell lingers and can go in the room. Please pay attention to the check in time. The office closes at 7:00 pm so you will not be able to get in your room after this time. More care needs to be addressed for the bedding. (See picture)

Absolutely nothing....this has to be the worst hotel we have ever been at ....the only reason we stayed is bc they had a no cancellation fee and we wld have lost our money but I had to worry all night long about our safety,our vehicles safety,and all rules they had on that paper was broken...there was also all stained up bedding we had to go buy bedding before we cld go to sleep that night and they gave us one towel to even use that was it like what the heck are we suppose to do with one wash cloth? Trust me the pictures are deceiving when you pull up they are from when they first did the hotel!!!! Warning!!!

Well all of it was filled with nothing but weed from the time I step into the premises. There isn't enough suppose to be any kind of smoking I woke up with my eyes so swollen bc of this broken it wasn't even funny and ended up having to smell weed all night. I had high idiots walking around and my safety was clearly at risk the entire time...someone even tried opening my daughter's room while there

The bathroom was nice. Nice staff at the front desk

The bed is uncomfortable. You can hear the neighbors on both sides of you, the ac is too loud, no dishes to cook or eat with

Bad location Hidden charges Staff availability The office is closed on Sundays so they tried to charge me for a day I was not going to be there.

Staff was rude and unhelpful, they had wayyy too many rules and ways to lose your money.

Nice and clean

Didn’t let you know about linen and other things until after you checked in. No cleaning supplies or anything.

Was never able to check in at all and was there before close
