Angoria Hotel

Everything was nice and updated. Very clean and had the most comfortable bed ever. Also got to meet a few staff including the owner and had some good morning conversations. Coffee was perfect. Good way to start the day.

Looks like someone bought an old motel and renovated it. I would describe this hotel as hip, trendy, contemporary. The Room looks exactly like the pictures. There's a smart TV in the room to sign in to your favorite stream service. They have a charger for your electric car. All the staff were friendly and ready to serve. There's an economy lodge right across the street that looks old and looked kinda sketchy driving by at midnight. Just stay here!

This hotel was fantastic as far as the room itself was concerned. They have taken what was no doubt a once flea bag motel and turned it into a very nice and modern boutique hotel. New furnishings, flooring, tile, shower everything nice. However, they royally dropped the ball on two major aspects of the remodel... THIS HOTEL IS NOISY AF!!! It sits a a very busy intersection in the middle of downtown and all rooms face the street on both floors. Let's just say, San Angelo folks love: loud cars, loud music within them and squealing tires when they get the green light. You will hear all of this noise and anything else because they did not replace the single window street side in any room or spend the money to enclose the upper and lower outside walkways. The other place they dropped the ball is there is no coffee service in the room. Along one wall is a three piece wardrobe unit and one of the units is a refrigerator and shelves AND A PLUG where coffee service could easily go...nope.

Traveled for business. Check in was quick and easy. Everything was great. The only thing that would have been better was the breakfast.

I had an outstanding experience at the Angoria Hotel from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was warm, the accommodations were spotless and comfortable, and every staff interaction was professional and courteous. Special mention to the lady at the front desk — she was not only exceptionally kind and attentive but also beautiful, which somehow made my check-in experience even better. Her friendly demeanor set the tone for the rest of my stay. From service to comfort, everything was top-notch. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit.

Reading the reviews before we arrived was really helpful. When you pull up, it looks like an old motel that’s been freshly painted but nothing more. Step inside and it’s like magic. We had two rooms for a stop on our family road trip. Everyone slept wonderfully. The beds are just heaven. All of the fixtures and finishes are beautiful. We spent some time in the pool before going to dinner at Lakeside pizzeria (which I also highly recommend). It was such a good reset. The pool is small but perfect for the kids to have some fun and us to get some relaxation.

First time staying at The Angoria and it was great! I came to town to visit friends and the location was so convenient. The on-site bar and pool were lovely, and daily breakfast and coffee were a plus. And they’re dog friendly!
