Little Mod Hotel at the University

The over all aesthetic and the quality of the customer service was a “5 star” hotel experience at an affordable price point.

Convenience of parking and no valet.

I would like to start by saying that this hotel is adorable. The decor is awesome and the staff were friendly and courteous. That being said, if you want to sleep, never ever stay in the Little Mod Hotel. The proximity to University of Virginia is perfect for visiting the campus on foot but you are so close to the action it’s impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The music from the bars was banging in our room till 2 am. I’m not talking background noise. I heard every word of every song. When that noise subsided I got a solid hour of sleep before I was awakened by what I thought was a foreign invasion but what ended up being a freight train roaring past. It feels like you are standing on a train platform is is so close. The window to the room shook every time one of the cars passed. The train must have been a mile long because it shook our room for about 25 minutes. Another hour and a half of sleep and I am now writing this review at 5am because a second, albeit much shorter train just rolled past.

Mod Pod foot truck on-site was an unexpected treat!

Our room was clean, super cute. Staff friendly. Great location to shops and restaurants.

This is the cutest little hotel. The room has a special feel, and we absolutely loved the record player. We will definitely be back.

Great location but SO LOUD!! We were in room 11 and it was as if there were no windows in our room. It faced one of the big bars in town and they had live music and it was insanely loud.

It had so much character. It was also conveniently located close to UVA and the Corner. We could walk to many restaurants and the university.

The train going by was a bit noisy.

Good location near the university. Rooms were very musty and poorly ventilated. More a hip motel than a hotel.
