Beautiful decor

The Verdant redefines true hospitality. From communications making our reservations (4 couples), and then making a few adjustments to them, to our greeting at the front desk, we experienced gracious welcomes at every moment of our stay. This is a renovation of an old department store into a hotel, one that holds true to the elegance of that store while presenting a stunning modern ambience. Exquisite and spacious, well-appointed rooms and wide hallways underscore the gracious hospitality that is the Verdant’s trademark. Its location in the city center, across the street from the world-famous Racine Art Museum, a few short blocks to the lake, walking distance to a wide array of very good restaurants, could not be improved. But it would be a mistake to miss dining in the hotel’s restaurant Marguerite, or having a drink and snack at its beautiful rooftop bar, Eave. This is one of the best hotel experiences we have had anywhere in the world.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the front desk concierge, and Claire Caviglia, Director of Operations. Check in was effortless, but we could not have prepared ourselves for how Amazing (wife says: "I could Live here") our room was. Simply Wonderful! Classy and Elegant! Staff was amazing and very helpful. We visited the roof top bar "Eave", sat by the fire table, enjoyed a glass of wine and just relaxed...loved this time together. We will be back again soon! Im pretty sure that was the best stay Ive had in a hotel in Racine ever. And Adrienne W. is the best. Beautiful place. And I had fun at the Eave.

New, nice hotel and facility.

The interior room had no windows. Needed to move to a room with a window. They made it right for us.

Wife and I just stayed at Hotel Verdant this Saturday night. In our opinion the Hotel Lobby Fireplace is the best part of the Hotel. We arrived, checked in, and were directed to the hotel parking lot which is a block and a half away. Upon entering our room we realized zero thought went into designing the layout. The roomiest part of the room is the entrance area (which is a useless space), the rest of the room is so cramped you cannot walk around the bed (which is shoved up against the wall), cannot sit at the desk cause you will be blocking access to either side of the room / bathroom. Speaking of the bed space, the area is so small it truly reminded us of sleeping in a camper. Mind you, while on the subject of the room...it was advertised as "LakeView" and you could kind of see a sliver of the lake in the distance between the downtown buildings from one of the two small windows. The thermostat in the room was not adjustable as it was locked, the front desk had to send a Maint. man with a laptop to unlock it. We then also learned that the thermostat does not allow you to run the Fan function and Heat function at the same time. The TV was also hilarious, and absolutely impossible to operate. The remote worked, but did not highlight any channel selections...so it was anyone's guess what channel you chose, and most often it (the TV) would just self select the Spanish channel. We were told that the Hotel Rooftop bar is nice and worth visiting, but we didn't...so I can't comment on that other than to say: we had a room on the 3rd floor but to get to the rooftop bar we would have to take the elevator down to the 1st floor, take a different elevator back up to get to the roof. Again, zero effort put into the thought of Design and functionality. We've stayed in many hotels, and very rarely have ever been this disappointed in the experience.

Room view was of roof and roof vents. Staff at front desk was not friendly. Breakfast options were limited, and several options I ask for were out of stock. The breakfast manager was excellent though and tried to make up the difference.

Loved this place. I’ve stayed at a ton of different places and I can honestly say this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. There was a EV charger right out front. The lobby is really cute and aesthetic. The girl that checked me in wasn’t especially welcoming but the check in process was smooth. The room was cute and the bathrooms were so spacious and nice. Shower had an upscale feel with vertical subway tiles. I didn’t get a chance to work out but the gym area looked really nice too. Highly recommend!
