Stone tavern pictured wasn’t offered on Booking.com. Apparently you need to call and ask for a Heritage Suite. Room was more like a roadside motel. Not enough space offered here to describe flaws like loud HVAC, wonky tv connection, mold on shower curtain liner, had to unplug microwave to plug in hair dryer, mattress “ gulley”…

Good room for the price point.

Old town feel humble

The location was great for hiking the Appalachian Trail. The room was clean and the shower hot. We had a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge.

The carpet was sticky and old and therefore seemed dirty. I would not walk on it barefoot.

The room was very clean, cozy, shower/bathroom very clean and excellent water pressure. There are no stains/holes on the bedding, carpet, curtains, or broken blinds. Bed very comfy and great pillows! It has a very clean microwave. There's bottle water, fruit bars, snacks, and oatmeal. Also, coffee and coffee pot. Restaurant nearby if you want a full breakfast. Will definitely stay again!

Could have a brighter light bulb in one of the several lamps.

While the room was clean and fresh smelling, there was damaged moulding, pealed paper from the Sheetrock on the ceiling and an old, strained regged in places carpet that should be replaced. The king bed had only one somewhat comfortable side. I never understood why hotels don't rotate their mattress to ensure even where. In their defense, the bathroom looked to be newly renovated. There were also a small coffee pot and a tray of snacks with water. Based on the bed I probably won't stay there again.

At first from the outside structure we were very concerned about staying here. It looked like an old hotel from the pass with a closed restaurant attached. Note on the door to call for assistance and we spoke with Misty who was very pleasant to speak with. She told us our room number and combo lockbox to get key for the room. Walking in it was nice to see room 10 was updated and clean. A few repairs needed on the walls and ceiling. There was a welcome basket in the room. We decided to stay but not knowing the community was concerned for the area. It turned out to be a safe area. Its basic but was clean and for one night passing through the area this room was find.

Clean and comfortable and I would stay again. It was a good room on our road trip.
