"Our stay wasn't the most pleasant. We were disappointed overall."

The rooftop bar was enjoyable.
The size of the room wasn't satisfactory. The bed was against the windows. One person had to climb over the other during the night to use the restroom. The shower water was barely warm. It certainly wasn't hot. There were no cups. We had to bring water bottles to the room to be able to brush our teeth. The pillows were hard. There was one softer pillow stored under the bed.

"citizenM Back Bay was a great value."

It’s unique interior style. Very funky utilitarian concept with a modern/retro look. Coming from West Michigan, it was neat to see so many classic HermanMiller furniture items about the “living room” on the second floor. And the rooftop bar/lounge was neat — great views of Boston and the Charles River. The courtyard with live music was an unexpected add-on. I’m not sure it’s a daily routine but it was a very nice late afternoon feature.
The two pillows on the bed in the hotel room were rock hard. The night staff reminded me there were pillows in the cabinet drawers under the bed. They were a much better option!
