Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Framingham

This was super convenient for the purposes of our trip. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is lovely and the room was very modern and clean. Everything you can ask for and price was reasonable. I had an issue with overnight construction noise from a neighboring property but that is no fault of the Hotel.

Hotel was a nice place to stay while visiting Boston. It was oddly combined with 2 other Hotels- one being a Marriot owned property the other a Sheraton… they were working on the Sheraton section which had no bearing or effect on the Fairfield section. I would have liked a closet with a door, and a place like a dresser to put clothing in. The shower door kept rolling open also. That was super annoying.

The bed was very comfortable and the building is attractive.

The service was very mediocre. The staff did not service the room every other day. We had no shampoo in the dispenser. The body wash ran out and was not refilled. We ran out of towels. The trash didn’t get emptied. The dining room ran out of coffee.

The property appears to be under construction which does not externally display well. More importantly, it had a hot water problem. When I asked the 4 April Friday morning clerk about the problem, I was told it is a common occurrence in full capacity hotels. I considered the explanation to be ignorant, so I replied that I suppose one should only check into hotels that are not full. I said "there should be some financial consideration" and she said "she would inquire." Of course she did nothing! I will never stay at another Fairfield property, but I do not travel often, however as a retired Professor of Philosophy I speak often to groups.

Cleanliness - excellent. Room lighting poor. "View" - nonexistent.
