Dew Drop Inn

Cute lil boutique hotel with a lot of black history. I liked that they kept a lot of the original structures and added on to a more modern look to it. Has a small pool area with a small bar area and you can order food from the kitchen. Not going to lie. The outside gives you a bit of an I in the right area, but once you’re inside you can tell how nice it is. We are from the Midwest and thought our first hotel at a mid range priced hotel with a known name would have been good, but it was not exactly what we thought. We stayed here for 1 night to give it a try. We realized we should have stayed here the whole time. It’s 10 min drive to bourbon street stuff, 20 min drive to the airport. I’m sure you can Uber to most things and not cost too much. Check in and check out went smooth. There is no elevator so be ready to climb stairs. It only has 2 floors the incline is not so bad. The room was nice and the decor was nice and easy on the eyes. The bathroom was modern and up to date and clean. The only part about the hotel is the bar next door which they own gets a little loud for the whole hotel. They do offer ear plugs, but the music stops at midnight. Even with the club I would stay again as your 10 min if that to bourbon street if your into that and then 20 min to the airport.

They have parties EVERY NIGHT which go on until 12a-1am at the earliest & one night it ended at 4a. I could NOT sleep while I was there, as a result. They need to pick either have it be a night club or hotel but it is too small to be both. It is clean & staff are the nicest. They give ear plugs but the floors vibrate w/ the noise from the ceiling just below.

It was such an honor to stay at this historic site. It is beautiful, they did such a great job with the restoration. Staff was amazing. Highly highly highly recommended.

Was very nice, neat, clean. Bed was vey comfort and soft. Only problem was Adjusted the AC unit. Everything else excellent!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dew Drop Inn!! Staff greeted us by name upon arriving to the front desk. We were given some wonderful history on the building, and were elated to find out that there is a consistent live stream of the music venue downstairs! We stayed in the Allen Toussaint room. The room was very unique, clean, and gave some amazing info about the person in which the room was named after. We had an awesome view of the street and access to a shared balcony through the main hallway. This was particularly exciting when we were able to watch a parade from our window on Sunday afternoon! The only down side was parking. There is parking available on the street, but you are sharing with the rest of the neighborhood. Because of this we didn’t drive much, but we were happy to see that Ubers usually sat at around $10 to go most places in the city. Overall we had a lovely stay. Every person we ran into was so nice and made sure to share their favorite aspects of the city, and building, with us. If you want a unique, memorable, and historically important hotel to stay with, I’d definitely go with The Dew Drop Inn!!

Staff was perfect

We stayed at “The Dew Drop” in the “Roosevelt Room” for our weekend getaway to New Orleans. Our experience was extremely positive and glad we came across this newly renovated gem just outside the heart of downtown New Orleans. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The attached concert hall did provide a little noise, but ear plugs and being exhausted helped sleep through it with no issues. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Very loud and poor ac

This hotel was amazing! Authentic Green Book Hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Irma Thomas room and got to see Irma Thomas perform at Jazz Fest live! They had live music every night. Book a trip here.
