Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hayward - Castro Valley by IHG

It was good and staff really nice but they seem to still be working some of the bugs out Like the front emtrance is still not open . The pool spa area not open. There was no tv remote in room. The upper outlet in bathroom didnt work and thete was eithet no fan in the bathroom or no switch for it. But the breakfast is a10 and staff vety nice and polite

We picked this place because of the pool and it wasn’t open. Otherwise, one of the best breakfasts that I’ve had at a hotel. Super nice staff and clean rooms.

Room is nice and the staffs are accommodating. Breakfast is ok. My dad said coffee was over diluted

The front entrance was under construction. No warning. The staff was excellent and went out of the way to help us. My wife is handicapped. No rails for the toilet.No bars in shower or chair, so no shower.

The rooms were had lots of space. Breakfast was great lot more choices than other Hotel that serve breakfast. The biscuits and gravy was ten. In door pool. But up and running yet. Its still newly being renovated..

I had a confirmed reservation through Expedia, made well in advance, and yet upon arrival or follow-up, I was informed that my booking had been canceled without notice or consent. The explanation given—that you “closed online bookings hours ago”—was completely unacceptable and irrelevant. The reservation was valid at the time it was made. This behavior reflects an alarming lack of professionalism and responsibility from your team. As a paying guest with a confirmed reservation, I expected to be treated with respect, courtesy, and basic hospitality—none of which were present in this interaction. As a result of your staff’s actions: • I was left stranded without accommodations. • I had to scramble to find a last-minute hotel at a much higher price. • I experienced significant stress, frustration, and discomfort. There was no apology, no help offered, and no ownership of the mistake. This is completely unacceptable from an IHG-branded hotel, and it has made me reconsider trusting Holiday Inn Express in the future.
