Older but comfy, and surprisingly quiet despite being on the highway.
We stayed here on our way to Crater Lake National Park. The Woodsman Country Lodge was wonderful, very cozy and friendly. Quirky, definitely not like your cutout hotel chain experience. We loved it. Cute small country town, next to a locals hang out tavern, was inviting and humble.
Check in was suppose to be at 2 pm. I showed up around 2:15 and the staff was just getting there to start cleaning the rooms. If check in is available at 2 maybe they should have started cleaning rooms at 10. They had some technical issues with the internet being out which was completely out of their control, thanks Starlink. All in all it was a nice stay but they need to have rooms available at check in.

Nice comfortable place at reasonable price. We were in town for the music festival in DeSchutes which meant prices within a hundred + miles were high, but this was affordable and just over an hour drive. Great dining options nearby and we really enjoyed the woodsman theme. Friendly staff. Only wish is to repave the parking lot for smoother transport for folks in a wheelchair. But otherwise great place. Would visit again for sure and stay longer.
Clerk wasn't there when we arrived. I pressed the ring button and got a recording that it would be a few minutes. I waited and then called a number listed and was told the clerk was taking an employee home and would be back in about 45 minutes. Fortunately he returned in about 10 minutes. The bed linens were worn. There was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor, one small bar of soap and no floor bath mat.
The property was adorable, the theme was a little over the top, but I guess we love that. This place was budget friendly, and we were able to make reservations a couple days before we arrived. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness issues in the bathroom, and the coffee grounds were still in the coffee maker from the last client. The person behind the counter was friendly during check in, but very busy, and our room wasn't quite ready. Perhaps more staff is needed?
