Hallmarc Inn New Albany

This is a nice no frills place to stay. I have stayed there several times and have always been pleased with my stay. Rooms are clean and staff is very nice

the price was excellent. The parking was not great.

We booked a king room but when we got there, the man working the front desk insisted on a double room. We are a same sex married couple. When we insisted on the king 1 bed, we were put in the nastiest most disgusting room ive ever been in. I asked for us to be moved, he said they were booked. This clearly wasnt the case since every booking site showed them with availability. We didnt stay the night. After a few hours and the loud smell of weed coming from the next room we left. I totally feel discriminated against and had we been a straight couple we would have been put in a better room. Side note i stayed at this property a few weeks ago, alone, and the room I had then was so much better. There was also "trash" left in a drawer

Value of the price

Check in was fast and easy. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable.

The room was clean. The staff was friendly. But the mattress on the bed was awful. The price was good as well. We just could sleep on the mattress.

The mattress was awful.

This property has old furnishing that are obviously not original and appear to be a hodge podge. Concerned that there was possibly bed bugs as insects could be seen flying around the room.
