Sportsman's Inn Plymouth 252-793-3095

I am in hotels more than pnights per year. I like to support family owned, independent hotels when I can. I read the reviews for Sportsman's Inn. I don't need fancy but my stay did not match the stellar reviews. The AC/heater unit was so filthy with water damage/mold under peeling paint. It was cold so I had to clean it before turning heater on. Smoke alarm dangling useless. Mirrors so dirty, you could write your name on them. Chairs filthy, so no place to put suitcase. Lamp didn't work, I asked for a differnet one & desk clerk did bring one. Room lighting insufficient. Road noise very loud all night long & 1" gap under door didn't help. The positives: bed ok, shower ok, carpet seemed relatively clean, only 1 or 2 other guests so no noise from other rooms, could park in front of room, linens clean. If you want a low price place to stay, this is it. But - be aware!

Nice place to stay clean room, beds and pillows were comfortable. The coffee was ready by 0500. Parking for truck and boats. Will stay again if there is a need.

Clean and affordable

The place wasn't anything special, it was a nice quiet place with friendly people around.

Awesome and courteous customer service, room was OVERALL nice, clean and neat.. The AC/Heat/Fan unit worked extremely well and I was able to keep the room at a nice and cozy temp during my 3 day stay visiting my dad 10/13-10/16 2024.

The AC/Heat/Fan unit had heavy debris and appeared to have mold. I definitely plan on making sure that my AC/Heat/Fan unit is clean and safe before my next stay. That is VERY important to me. There was just 1 washer & 1 dryer that I was aware of for all guests to use. I just so happened to wash & dry my two loads at a great time. And the lightening of my room was horribly dim.

The motel was nice but management sucked and he was VERY mean. Not going back there anymore.

If you are looking for a cost friendly accommodation for a night on the way to the Outer Banks, this your option. You get what you pay for so you aren’t walking into a luxury hotel for what cost us less than $100 a night. But, it was clean, comfortable beds, and gets the job done.

From the check-in to check out had and absolutely great experience. Staff was very friendly laughing joking around as I checked in and the room was very nice. Bed was comfortable and the hot shower ❤️❤️❤️

There's really nothing bad I can say about my experience.

Great place for the money. Employees were very nice and super helpful.
