Tamarack Lodge of Traverse City

Beautiful property with a private beach and common area grills and fire pits. The suites were spacious, clean and extremely well equipped with all kitchen necessities. We traveled as a family with a small toddler and found the noise levels to be a bit excessive; we could hear conversations and the tv in the adjoining room until late hours. The room had a bit of a strange odor, perhaps due to the carpet. All in all, a fine stay but would not recommend for families with small children, better suited for an older crowd.

Poor checkin, only one person on staff, 15 minute wait for someone to come to the front desk. No coffee available in room, did not know when registering.

Pros: Room size, Ambiance of the hotel, easy parking, good location, nice beach area; comfy bed Cons: Thin walls - we could hear conversation in the adjoining room; no breakfast; no coffeemaker in room; TV channels limited and not what was in the guide they gave us. (Coffee, tea, and hot choc available on first floor.)

Nice property on the water, very limited amenities, room we stayed in is a part of suite separate by a door, can hear everything the guests are saying,I assume they were just the same.I definitely wouldn’t stayed there if I knew that.

It was an amazingly beautiful property and suite space. I look forward to another visit.

Our easy check in was topped off with fresh baked cookies. Beautiful condo with the most amazing lake views. Cozy and fresh sleeper sofa for the kiddo. beautiful roomy bathrooms and huge cozy beds and total silence at night. What more could you ask for! Oh, and a beautiful Craftsman style gas fireplace. We would love to come back in the fall to see the colors change. Such a luxurious stay.

There was no lake virw, no hot tub or windows in our room but priced and advertised that it would. The door was broken and very hard to open, kind of an overall letdown. They let us check in and go up to our room and then the room was not clean so we had to go back and wait an hour. But the location was nice, pretty clean and right on the water and walkable to good restaurants.

Best place in Traverse, Excellent in every way!
