The Vurpillat Beachfront Hotel

Really great customer service! I was amazed by how attentive they were. Everyone was really helpful to make sure I had the best time. The property was really nice and the room was spotless. I loved the beach view! Really felt like I was sleeping on the beach.

Historic boutique hotel right on The Strand. Lovely updated and modern inside appearance. I stayed in a small studio which was facing a side wall of an abandoned building so it was very quiet. The studio was well appointed. Two points of note. The mattress is larger than the bedframe so slides off overnight. Not a big problem but still strange. The shower is tiny with a rain shower head and the water pressure and temperature is low which was okay for me as it's an old (1923) building but some people may find that annoying. Overall a great location, close to everything Hermosa Beach has to offer and I would stay here again.

Loved staying here right on the beach! Perfect spot for people watching with morning coffee or evening wine. Super friendly staff and clean fresh linens. We will be back!

Great atmosphere. Lovely Logan of front desk as well as other staff made hotel stay feel like home. Literally on a safe, clean California beach. Wonderful neighborhood close to parks, beach, food venue, shopping, and breathtaking views. Would definitely stay again. Vurpillat Hotel is the diamond in the crown that is Hermosa beach in California's gold coast. Great value with full kitchen, living room space, fancy tub, and all creature comforts that made it more of a home. Also there is a cute tuxedo cat that greats you and welcomes you each time.

What a fine! Incredible location, charming, and spacious two bedroom apartment, and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. We were two adults and two young kids and the two bedroom was perfect for us. Having the kitchen was really helpful for breakfast and keeping snack snacks called. Would highly recommend and whenever we are back in Hermosa Beach we will stay here again!

This hotel is modest and chill. It's not a loud late-night place, but quiet, right on the beach and a short walk from the main drag. Everyone was so friendly, the rooms were clean, and the building had a lot of character. It's a budget place so don't expect lux amenities. The windows are old, no central air, just a comfy bed and nice ensuite in an ol'timey rooming house style building. We loved it and will return, next we will book the larger room as we had the smallest one. It was still great! All we needed.

Lovely property with great staff. They upgraded my mom and I to a larger room for Mother’s day which was so thoughtful. Parking is a little bit challenging, but we loved the location and walkability to town/the beach. Would love to come back again!
