"Beware before booking!"

2.0

I was in town with my teenage daughter for a lacrosse tournament. All the hotels were booked, so we thought this would be a good option. IT WAS NOT. First of all, the blue room really only sleeps 1 comfortably. The bed is a double, not a queen. The pull out couch is very uncomfortable, basically metal springs with some padding over it. We also couldn't get the TV to turn on, but these inconveniences were not deal breakers. We were planning to stay. To be clear, this is actually just a room in a run down house in a sketchy neighborhood. I'll attach a picture of the yard. There are two other rooms also being rented out in this small house and all SHARE A BATHROOM (and a kitchen, which we knew.) We were not expecting this setup, and at 10pm, while my teenage daughter was in the shower, a middle aged creepy man introduced himself as a long term renter. My mother warning instinct went on high alert and I knew we couldn't stay. We felt so unsafe - my daughter was freaked out. I couldn't stop picturing what could happen to her at any given time if she left our locked room on her way to the bathroom -- would someone grab her/violate her? This may sound far fetched, but it's truly all I could imagine and had to get somewhere safer for the night. We packed up and went in search of a hotel. We texted the property mgr, who didn't respond until the next day and has since refused to refund us anything. This is not a place for solo women or kids/teens. Beware!
