DUNE Fairfield Beach

Really liked Dune. I had a great room that was on the other side from Sea Grape - bar that could be loud. I heard noting from room 31. Could walk to Post Rd and the beach. Ocean view from room.

Excellent stay

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights while visiting colleges in the area. The room was cute (modern, beach-vibe) and clean. As others mentioned when the bar let out around midnight it was a little loud (many college students rent in the area). I also didn’t care for the mini-split going on and off throughout the night - I’m just not used to that noise. Overall it was a fine stay but perhaps not if you are a light-sleeper.

Place was clean and comfortable. Some nights were louder than others with by passers from the bar next door. Otherwise pleasant visit. Could not get in the first night. Needed to get another hotel stay. Was not able to reach anyone.

Sweet location and they remodeled it nice. However, be warned the bar next door does loud live music and the whole building shakes. Would only reccomend to the young party crowd. Not ideal for families. The manager was nice and did try to offer a refund for a night. Not sure how many people want to hear music vibrating until 2am. Young me would not have cared. Good communication and easy to check in and out. The blow dryer was broken. The internet kept going out; I dropped off a work call and had a hard time getting back on. Please fix the WiFi.

**Not for a family or anyone wanting to fall sleep before 2am.** There is a nightclub directly on the side and our entire room was vibrating from how loud the club music was. Reviews say “may be a bit noisy” and that didn’t deter me, thinking it was just crowd outside talking and laughing. I had no idea we could feel like we were trying to sleep inside of a rave.

Beautiful and convenient location in a pretty neighborhood. Fairlt quiet on the 3rd floor, although some late night noise from party-ers but that was made clear on the website. Walkable to town and beach. Very comfortable stay! Thank you!

The property is generally old, but it was a nice renovation. Of the room.

We have been staying at the Dune approximately 1 week of every month for the last 6 months and we have never complained about anything in the past as we always have enjoyed our stays there. But after being there 6 nights over the last 10 days, I feel the need to be honest about the noise factor, especially with college students who live in the area and frequent the Sea Grape bar which is practically attached to the hotel property. With live music last night at the Grape and drunk kids screaming on the street well past the Grape’s closing time, getting to or staying asleep can be a real challenge. Hotel guests should just manage their expectations about the noise issue as otherwise they will be disappointed.
