Cleanliness
The property is very well kept. It was clean and mostly in great shape excluding one broken toilet seat which I received zero response from the host about when I emailed upon arrival. Overall an excellent vacation spot and I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. Very family friendly and felt safe. Beautiful beaches with calm warm water. My only real regret was that I didn’t book a longer stay. You can tell the owner cares about the property and it didn’t feel like some of the questionable rentals I have experienced elsewhere. I really appreciated the effort they put in from comfortable decor to a fully functional kitchen complete with appliances, dishes, and utensils - plenty of linens, a shower that wasn’t scary. The people I met were all very friendly and I can’t remember the last time I spoke to so many random people. This property has a small but well equipped kitchen and I would highly recommend planning ahead and bringing groceries to cook. For as wonderful as the island is the restaurant situation is tragic. Everything is just a bunch of deep fried frozen foods, pizza, or wings at double to triple the price they would be anywhere else with no less than a 1-2 hour wait at dinner. Zero breakfast options other than gas station biscuits. If anyone ever got the idea to have a real fine dining place or even just a place that actually cooks real food they could make a mint. Islanders had great ice cream and pizza and was probably one of our better experiences restaurant wise.
