Gorgeous Guesthouse Near Amazing Downtown

Nice lil place

I requested a cancellation. The host just ignored my message.

Toilet would NOT flush and we contacted them several times via text and were told they would repair it when we left! There were 2 heating units, one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs. The downstairs unit did not heat, the fan blew, but no heat. We contacted them the night we checked in and after several text back and forth, they said they would bring us a space heater "in the morning" so the downstairs was 59 degrees all night and the next morning. They did bring us a space heater the next day but that was NOT sufficient to heat the entire downstairs so the bathroom was COLD and impossible to shower. The floors are unfinished concrete downstairs which made the area even colder. The upstairs is painted plywood which was splintered and rough. We also made them aware that the blow-dryer was broken but they never replaced it. Dogs barking all night in the neighborhood kept us up all night and roosters crowing in the morning were a bit annoying. Very Very Disappointed and would not recommend anyone to sat there.

The place is clean with new kitchenware. The bed is comfortable and the quality of the TV is high.

Lots of problems with this place. When I arrived, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the toilet was clogged. The wall A/C unit in the living room only emits cold air, so I had to stay in the bedroom the whole time since it’s been a cold winter. The gate—the only barrier separating you from the street—is broken, and while the neighborhood is improving, it’s not perfectly safe. One night a stranger tried to enter through the front door, which was quite scary. I would not stay here during the winter season, and I would be careful with my valuables.
