everything. great space and the most unique of all settings - fab with cafe restaurant and magical views from every window - unique setting and locking of gates after 10pm needs an extra key for some later night guests

Unieke locatie. Prachtig uitzicht. Wel in een toeristisch gebied. Houd daar in het hoogseizoen rekening mee! Mensen lopen letterlijk onder je ramen langs. Heerlijk bad, prima douche. Bedden waren goed. Voldoende dekens. Koffie en thee beschikbaar met een koekje. Keuken met voorzieningen. Alles netjes schoon.

Niet viel tegen, maar sommige punten moet je wel rekening mee houden! Wij hebben het niet snel koud, veel radiatoren zijn individueel uit te schakelen. Via centrale installatie niet alles even eenvoudig te regelen. Maar uiteindelijk ging het goed. Als het hard waait, waait het door de voordeur gewoon de gang in 🤣 Maar hey, het is een oud gebouw! Door de woning heen hangen verschillende units aan het plafond. De groene lampjes daarvan waren te fel 's nachts. Dit alles mocht de pret zeker niet drukken!

Das direkt auf dem Calton Hill in unmittelbarer Näöhe zum ehem. Observatorium gelegene Gebäude bietet einen unfassbar schönen Blick auf ganz Edinburgh im 360° Spektrum. Der einzige Wermutstropfen ist, dass es entsprechend viele Besucher draußen vor den Fenstern gibt; das Gebäude liegt zwar im ummauerten und nachts geschlossenen Areal, grenzt aber auf der Westseite unmittelbar auskragend auf den Spazierweg um das Gelände. Wichtig: Man kann tags mit dem Taxi bis zum Observatorium fahren, nicht aber nachts (Zufahrt erst wieder ab 7am). Das sollte man hinsichtlich der Gepäckplanung und dem Zugang beachten; außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten der Zufahrt geht es nur über den Treppenweg.

The house is at a strategic point (and there is a reason for this). In the past it was the second most important house in the city. The security governor lived there! Anyway, a place with incredible energy.. if you want to live a little bit of the past added with an incredible experience this is the place!

All perfect. All good. No problem!!! You can go without fear! There is nothing that will displease. Anyway, no flaws.

What stood out was that this is such a unique building with historical value, the best views and a lovely bar next door!

Perfect location for sightseeing. Everything is close enough, we didn't have to waste time on transportation, easy, just walk everywhere. Beautiful sight day and night from around the apartment. The bathroom and kitchen are exceptional, fully equipped and modern.

It's a bit weird, as people are walking around and under the windows of the apartment. The only downside of the otherwise perfect location, as it is also a public park around the top of the hill. I guess, this is still a cheap price to pay for the perfect location.
