Pros: The area is very nice and safe. The building is modern and clean. Attention to details regarding cleanliness could be better. Cons: you have to contact the company not the concierge if you need something. Only paid parking is available, $80 for 4 nights. Concierge leaves at 11PM, resumes work at 7AM. If you arrive later than11PM, you can’t enter the garage. Best,

A few days into the stay, the building manager at Crystal Flats admitted the apartment had an active and ongoing issue with bed bugs, which WeHost (the hosting company) knew about. We had had bites but did not know until then where they were coming from. We had to wash all of our clothes and move out immediately. WeHost refused to refund my stay and tried to blame me for not letting the building manager spray while we were there! Feel free to confirm my account of bed bugs with Crystal Flats. BTW the team at Hotels.com was very helpful when I called and emailed them proof of the situation.

Having stayed in this area many times before, location is good for Metro and short walks to dining, shopping. But communication before check in was terrible as I had nothing prior to arrival on procedure. The property desk agent had to help me contact We Host to get codes and parking set up. Information I should have had prior to arrival. Unit was not very clean or stocked with enough towels/wash cloths, as in zero wash cloths. We had to sweep floors for dirt. Bedding was poor at best as the mattresses are soft, low quality. The kitchen is stocked enough for a few basics and could use at least a baking sheet or pan. Oh, and smoke detector battery was chirping. Had to remove it until a replacement showed up two days later. But again, the location is good if you are looking to explore DC and need more space or for us, needing wheelchair accessibility. Dining is close by, as 23rd St. offers many casual options. Fine dining at Mortons is a few blocks away and the Pentagon Centre Mall is a 15 min walk or one Metro stop. Old Town Alexandria can be accessed on the Blue Line. Recommended. Would I stay again, yes, but am better informed now about We Host and know you need to help them help you. I realize they do not own building or manage that aspect. But once you see the quality of the units for flooring, cabinets, common space and then look up rent. A single person or small family needs to a have a nice well above average income for such a place.

Stay and everything was good. Place is close to the airport and a short drive to other attractions. The only concern was the lack of communication about the property instructions and check-in rules. And a very disturbing conversation with a We Host Customer support begging for the WiFi password!! If these information was give before hand, everything would have been grate.
