Charming 2-bed Apartment in Salford Newly Built

We tried numerous times to contact the host to get keys however he answered and kept telling us he would get back to us to then decide to ignore us completely so we couldnt even stay at the property. Still struggling to get a refund for this and they are ignoring all emails and calls. Poor service, in-fact I would go as far as saying this is a scam.

The host didnt provide us the keys/codes to enter and we were charged even though we didnt stay.

The location is alright, walking distance to the centre. However area itself is more under construction yet.

Checkin: I have asked multiple times for check-in instructions beforehand, wasn't provided one. Had to call to the agency on arrival, which can do nothing and only says: "contact your host", which I had no idea even existed as I booked the property from the agency. I called the host and suddenly my ID was required before sending me the instructions. Why couldn't I done this the day before or earlier instead of doing that in a car at the house the last minute? The check-in itself is a bit of a quest: go there, find the locker somewhere near the lamp, go back, find one door, go up to stairs, find another door to another block, take a lift, turn right, but that's mostly building specific. Speaking of which: the windows are big and positioned exactly towards other flats and hallways, so anyone can see what's going on inside, no wonder why all flats had curtains on. The property wasn't clean, definitely had quite a life, lots of stains and scratches here and there. Overall impression isn't pleasant at all, and surely not charming. We were provided 2 towels for 4 people, which I doubt were washed before us. Bed lined wasn't probably washed as well, at least didn't feel nice and fresh. There is a one cup at the property and little cutlery and utensil available, keep that in mind if you want to cook or have cup of tea.
