My husband and I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Château La Marquise. We feel extremely lucky to have found this super boutique hotel in the Loire Valley. The hotel is housed in a truly beautiful château, with lovely grounds surrounding it. The swimming pool in the garden is an added bonus. The rooms are so well furnished and are all totally in keeping with this historic building. What is particularly impressive here though is the welcome and service provided by every member of staff. It really is first class. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble. We were particularly grateful for the recommendations for days out and local restaurants where we might dine. If I were to find myself in this area again, I would never now stay anywhere else. If you are visiting this area of the Loire Valley I would urge you to book a room in the Château Marquise. I promise you will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful stay at the Chateau de la Marquise. The property is beautiful and the details of the decor were very appreciated. There is a mix of modern and antiquity, from the excellent (and discrete!) speaker system throughout the property, to the carefully curated vintage pieces around the chateau. We had the opportunity to meet the owner, Jeremy, who was extremely attentive and eager to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The property is beautiful, great pool, scenic views, and good location. We were about 10 minutes walking by from the center of town, which makes it nice if you don’t want to drive. Overall fabulous stay, we hope to be back soon!

On ne s'attend pas à trouver un hôtel aussi majestueux dans le centre de Saumur. Tout est très bien conservé et entretenu dans ce château du 19eme siècle. On se croirait presque dans un film ou dans une autre époque. Les propriétaires et Marie la responsable ont été très attentifs pour que nous passions un séjour inoubliable. En fait en venant au château, on se deconnecte du quotidien et on prend le temps. La chambre était très grande, confortable décorée à l'ancienne mais cosy. La salle de bains est elle aussi spacieuse avec bain et douche. Très bon petit déjeuner, complet et goûteux ! Avant de repartir nous nous sommes offerts une heure au spa. C'était parfait ! Nous avons eu le temps de faire un tour dans le grand parc arboré qui se situe derrière le château. Le rapport qualité prix de cet hôtel est incroyable ! On reviendra et on va en parler autour de nous !
