The driveway to the hotel was terrible. Very unhygienic, ceiling covered in mould, sink mouldy, sun beds mouldy, staff very lazy, you have to ask them to clean your room, one morning I asked at 8:30am didn’t clean my room until 4:30pm

One of my worst experiences in Bali! I often visit Bali for relaxation, but unfortunately, this time we booked a hotel for a month that was dirty and had terrible customer service! The staff didn’t clean, and at some point, they even blocked us on WhatsApp. As you can see from the photos, the hotel had water leaks, there was not hot water at all, a moldy sink, bad odors, and dirty bedsheets. I even found underwear from the previous guest under the bed. We agreed to do an early check-out because the conditions were absolutely unsuitable for a month, and now, days later, we are still fighting with the owner to get a refund for the unused portion of the stay, which they are refusing to return! Avoid this place!!

Don’t believe the positive reviews and photos! The first room we were given had no running water and the doors wouldn’t lock. They said there were no other rooms available, but when we asked for a refund we were magically moved to another room. In the new room, the sheets and towels had multiple stains and were dirty. There were gaps in both the balcony and front doors, leading to cockroaches and mosquitoes everywhere inside the room. The stairs are very dangerous if you’re on the second floor. It’s not clean and there are no mirrors anywhere. You can hear all the noise from the street. The vinyl flooring is lifting up. There is black mould on the curtains and furniture. The aircon is temperamental and we were not given an aircon remote. The road is not accessible and is very dark. The common toilet was disgusting and the sink is leaking everywhere.

Not a very nice lane to walk down to the property (especially when it was raining). One of our charging ports didn’t work. The waterfall shower head didn’t work at all and the other shower head was very weak, which was disappointing. The WiFi also didn’t really work at all and as there was virtually no signal at the property, we would have to walk to a nearby cafe to use internet. The rooms also didn’t get cleaned during the time we were there.

Rooms had an inch long cockroaches. Found some lurking around the food at night. Bidet was not working properly, the shower handle was lose and falling down.

I had an absolutely delightful stay at DADEKA Canggu, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. The first thing that stood out to me was the incredible hospitality of the staff. They are warm, friendly, and genuinely go out of their way to make you feel at home. One of the most unique and heartwarming aspects of DADEKA Canggu is their love and care for the cats around the property. As a cat lover, this completely stole my heart! The staff not only ensure the cats are well-fed, but they also take care of their health by providing vaccinations and regular visits to the vet. It's so rare to find a place that truly values and respects the local animals, and this made my experience all the more special. The rooms are super nice—comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed to make your stay relaxing. The price is unbelievably good for the quality and service you receive, making it a fantastic value for anyone visiting Canggu. What also makes DADEKA Canggu stand out is the community vibe. There are a couple of long-term residents staying here, and they’re some of the friendliest and kindest people I’ve met. They too share the staff's love for the cats and are actively involved in their care, from feeding them to ensuring they’re healthy and happy. Overall, DADEKA Canggu is a hidden gem. Whether you’re here for a short visit or an extended stay, you’ll feel right at home in this warm and welcoming environment. If you’re an animal lover, this place will be even more special to you. Highly recommend!
