Four Points by Sheraton Bintan, Lagoi Bay

Très bel hôtel avec de nombreux points positifs : chambres spacieuses et bien équipées, piscines magnifiques, plage superbe, personnel très gentil et attentionné, et massages excellents.

Le principal point négatif reste le manque de sunbeds sur la plage, insuffisants pour ce type d’établissement. Dommage également que la restauration, bien que très bonne, soit majoritairement indonésienne, avec peu d’options européennes, surtout au petit-déjeuner.

I booked Four Points by Sheraton Bintan for my husband’s and my birthday trip as it’s one of the newer hotels in the area. We stayed 4D3N in a Deluxe Garden King on the second floor — very close to reception yet still quiet. Pros: - New and modern property - Good location - Friendly, attentive staff - Spacious and comfortable room Areas for improvement: - Room cleanliness (noticed some dust and stray hairs, more visible at night) - Shower pressure could be stronger - Pillows were too flat, even after requesting firmer ones - Shower floor was quite slippery we actually cleaned it a few times immed after checking in - Breakfast had variety and changed daily but was a bit hit or miss - Main pool is quite shallow (ppl were walking in it than swimming 😄) The hotel added a nice birthday touch they decorated the mirror, and I received a cake on my birthday morning — funny enough, my husband (whose birthday was the day before) didn’t 😆 We also enjoyed the complimentary photoshoot as a keepsake. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we found it to be good value for money. The warm service really stood out and we would consider returning.

For the price paid, the property is looking tired. Staff are friendly but lacking warmth, and are not as personable and flexible as other Bintan resorts I have been.

Amazing hotel and great hospitality!! Special shoutout to Jenni from Rempah Kitchen who was so helpful and hospitable from the moment we entered the restaurant and throughout the stay whenever we had breakfast and meals, constantly checking on us and how we were feeling. The staff at Rempah Kitchen were so helpful and generous, even gifting us a cake to mark the end of our last day at the hotel (could not bear to leave the place!!) Also want to thank Ade who led the Zumba class for me and my partner, who was always so excited to see us whenever we crossed paths in the resort, and bringing us to the lake and being so cheerful throughout. This really made our experience feel so special and memorable. The room we booked was spacious, air-conditioning was great and room service was immaculate. Loved the details and notes that the housekeepers left us each night :) One qualm I had was with the temperature of the shower as it was perpetually too warm for my liking but overall was still good room and worth the price. Activities of the hotel was also quite nice but wished that there were more activities during our stay and wished that the gym had more equipment
